Why a website needs looking after every month
A website does not stay finished. Here is what slowly goes wrong when nobody looks after it, and what keeping it in order involves.
Things change around a website
Browsers update, security problems are found and fixed, certificates expire, and the rules for privacy and cookies change. A site that is built once and left alone slowly falls out of step with all of that.
What looking after it means
Checking that the site is up and answering. Keeping its security certificate current. Applying updates. Keeping backups, and knowing how to put one back. Checking that the privacy notice and cookie notice still match what the site collects. Looking at how fast it loads on a phone.
Why monthly
Small checks done every month find problems while they are small. A certificate that expires without anyone noticing can make a site show a warning to every visitor. A short report each month tells you what was checked and what was done.

The higher plans add a monthly look at how visitors use the site, with improvements based on it, and new pages and features as the business grows. Plans end with 30 days' written notice, and you keep the site.
